Out of nothing Marthijn de Groot creates the ‘Autumn in New York’ Collection on his blank canvasses. The first brush stroke in burnt sienna, a moment full of magic. Marthijn de Groot begins the big adventure: Painting for Freedom NYC2010.
Each day, starting on October 10, on a different location, he works to the accompaniment of the beautiful compositions of Bach, Coltrane, Mozart, Keith Jarret and Michiel Borstlap. The public is constantly surprised. Unannounced, he appears on 5th Avenue, Union Square, Ground Zero – or on the street opposite the Plaza Hotel.
